Coach Swier returns back to coaching at Spring-Ford, as he just recently accepted a teaching position at the 9th grade center within the business department.  He has been teaching and coaching for the past five years at West Chester East. He was the head coach at West Chester East for 9th grade football, middle school wrestling and high school softball.  He has been involved in coaching all three sports for the past 9 years.
Prior to West Chester East, Coach Swier had the opportunity to coach under Dan Ellis at Great Valley where they were District 1 AAA Champs in 2014.  While at Great Valley, Coach Swier was in charge of wide receivers and special teams. During his previous years of coaching at Spring-Ford, they were in the playoffs all three years and district runner-up in 2012.
Coach Swier attended Millersville University where he played football for the Marauders while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing. He played linebacker, tight end and long-snapped throughout his career.  Coach Swier graduated from Spring-Ford in 2004 where he played football and wrestled.
Coach Swier continued his education and received a Master’s degree from Gwynedd Mercy University for Education as well as a second Master’s from Saint Joseph’s University for Instructional Technology.  Coach Swier has a passion for technology as he received certifications as an Instructional Technology Specialist, Google Educator and Microsoft Innovator.
Coach also plans to coach wrestling this winter and is currently the Head Softball Coach for West Chester East.
